FIU football player Luke Knox, who showed up in 23 games at Mississippi prior to joining the Panthers and was the sibling of Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox, has passed on, the college said Thursday.
Luke Knox passed on Wednesday night, school authorities said. The reason was not uncovered, however the college said police don’t smell a rat.
Knox, who concentrated on business, was 22.
“Words can’t communicate the sincere distress we feel in view of the death of our partner and companion, Luke Knox,” FIU mentor Mike MacIntyre composed via online entertainment. “I had the pleasure of training Luke at Ole Miss and at FIU. While I respected his enthusiasm for football, his authentic love for his family and partners is what I will continuously recollect.”
FIU players were recounted Knox’s demise late Wednesday. Thursday’s training was dropped, and sorrow advisors were acquired to meet with the group and others from the college local area.
Dawson Knox, Luke Knox’s more established sibling, is entering his fourth season with the Bills.
“Our hearts go out to Dawson and his family during this time,” Bills mentor Sean McDermott said Thursday. “We’re in that general area with him and supporting him and his loved ones. Simply shocking news that I got up to today.”
Luke Knox, who was from Brentwood, Tennessee, basically played extraordinary groups during his time at Ole Miss, and he had 11 handles in his four seasons there. He changed to tight end in 2021 however showed up as a linebacker on FIU’s program this season.
MacIntyre was cautious organizer at Ole Miss during Knox’s experience with the Rebels. MacIntyre is in his most memorable season at FIU.
“He had an extraordinary approach to causing everybody around him to feel good and sure,” MacIntyre said. “Luke’s family is extraordinary to me, and they will constantly be in my heart and in my requests during this troublesome time.”
